The court seized the bank accounts of the management of Game Insight, Ubisoft removes inactive accounts of gamers along with purchased games, Blizzard responded to criticism of the patch for Diablo IV, — we tell you what happened in the gaming industry over the weekend.

▪️Denis Kachura, the arbitration manager in the bankruptcy case of Game Insight in Russia, has secured interim measures against persons who controlled the Russian “daughter” of the company. The Moscow Court of Appeal seized 75.9 million rubles on the accounts of Igor Matsanyuk, Mikhail Vinchel, Grigory Finger, Sergei Avetikov, Gennady Tsoi and three other people. The court also seized their real estate. In a comment to the Kommersant newspaper, Kachura explained that 75.9 million rubles are salary arrears to 271 employees of Game Insight. Recall that Game Insight owed not only employees, but also creditors. As of November 2022, the company’s debts to creditors amounted to 76.2 million rubles.

A Twitter user under the nickname PC_enjoyer stated that Ubisoft deletes the accounts of gamers who have not logged into the Ubisoft account for a long time. He said that he recently received a letter from the company notifying him of the temporary blocking of his account due to lack of activity. Ubisoft said that if a gamer does not follow the link in the letter within 30 days, it will permanently delete the account along with the games located there. Shortly after the publication of PC_enjoyer’s tweet, Ubisoft was massively criticized on the network, and this did not go unnoticed in the company. In a comment to the tweet, Ubisoft confirmed that it adheres to a similar policy and just wanted to warn the gamer about the possibility of losing his account. “Of course, we don’t want you to lose access to your games or account, so if you have any difficulties logging in, please contact technical support,” Ubisoft representatives added.

The authors of the Amnesia horror series will develop less scary games. The head of Frictional Games, Thomas Grip, in a conversation with the portal 80.lv he admitted that the studio plans to reduce the number of horror elements in future projects and focus on other emotions.

Blizzard held a stream during which it responded to criticism of the pre-season patch for Diablo IV, which weakened all classes in the game. Recall that due to the patch, gamers brought down the rating of the game on Metacritic to 1.9 points for the PS5 version, 2.2 points for the PC version and 3.4 points for the Xbox Series X version. The developers admitted that the patch was unsuccessful and promised not to release such updates again. Nevertheless, they noted that large changes in the balance are inevitable, but in the future they will be warned in advance.
