Russians in 2023 began to spend 20% more time playing video games
SberMarketing, Check Index and Rambler &Co conducted a survey of 90 thousand users from Russia regarding video games. We share some figures from it.
▫️The main gaming platform in Russia is PC — 60%.
Respondents began to play more often by 20%, and the duration of sessions increased.
Spending has also grown. Games with a price of ₽1000-5000 began to be bought 20% more often.
As separately reported by SberMarketing based on Mediascope data:
The main age of gamers is from 25 to 44 years, they account for 44% of the total number of game lovers in Russia;
The majority (60%) of Russian gamers are married or married, and 55% of them have children under the age of 18.
Also, without reference to the survey, the “Check Index” already reports:
▫️in the second quarter of 2023, the number of purchases of game consoles increased by 26% compared to the same period last year;
The demand for PlayStation 5 (by 36%) and Nintendo Switch (by 33%) grew the most.
