Europe has obliged to put replaceable batteries on all mobile devices
Another piece of news that has just come to the attention of the industrial media. In mid-June, the Council of the European Union adopted new regulations concerning the production and processing of batteries.
There are many provisions (the bill has 366 pages). One of the key sounds something like this: any device with a portable battery should be designed in such a way that the user can easily remove it and replace it himself.
The law will come into force from 2027 and will apply to all gadgets released after 2024. Including smartphones and portable consoles.
