Team17 CEO Announces Plans to Step Down
Debbie Bestwick intends to leave the post of CEO of Team17. She will do it right after she finds a successor.
Bestwick said that the decision to resign was the most difficult in her life, but it will benefit Team17. In addition, she will now be able to spend more time with her children. However, Bestwick is not going to leave the company completely — she will remain on the board of directors.
Bestwick has worked at Team17 since the company was founded in 1990. At first she held the position of commercial director, and in 2009 she became CEO. Consulting firm Games One included her in the top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the gaming industry by the end of 2020. Back then, Bestwick’s annual income exceeded $10.2 million.
