The "tiny company" is expanding
TinyCo, a company known for a number of social mobile games (Tiny Pets, Tiny Monsters, Tiny Monsters, etc.) has announced the opening of a new studio in Vancouver, Canada.
Thus, she followed in the footsteps of other teams from San Francisco (Gamereview Studios, GREE), “mastering” the Canadian territory. According to TinyCo co-founder and CEO Suli Ali, the choice of this location for the new studio is largely due to the fact that it is located in the same time zone as San Francisco. In addition, there are direct flights between these cities, and most importantly, there are many talented specialists in Vancouver, “whom I would like to attract to work at TinyCo.”
So far, there are only three people in the Vancouver team, but according to the company’s management plans, in six months its staff should expand to 60 employees, among whom there will be programmers, artists, engineers, analysts, testers and product managers. The new TinyCo studio will be engaged in game projects for iOS and Android based on its own cross-platform Griffin engine.
It is not reported how much the Canadian office will cost. However, since not so long ago TinyCo received investments in the amount of $ 18 million, there will be funds for its arrangement.
