In an interview with The Telegraph newspaper, RIM CEO Thorsten Heins admitted that his company is not able to compete with Apple and Samsung without outside help.
In the last financial report, RIM reported operating losses of $192 million. So now the company sees its salvation in granting permission to use its OS by third-party vendors. Yes, more recently RIM defended the opposite position, hoping for the success of its new devices.
Analysts believe that if RIM manages to find hardware partners, then it has every chance to turn into a successful software-oriented company.
