Scaleform becomes mobile
The other day, Autodesk announced a new version of its Scaleform framework for developing user interfaces (UI), which was used by the creators of many hit “AAA” class games. Now it is equipped with tools that are designed to “make life easier” for mobile developers, in particular those who make applications for iOS and Android.
Developers can use the new version of Scaleform in the production of mobile games in three different ways. One of them is using a plugin for the Unity engine to create high–quality UI and menus based on Flash. In addition, there is an SDK that can be easily integrated into a variety of proprietary mobile engines and, finally, we should mention the so-called Standalone Development Platform, which uses the cross-platform capabilities of this middleware optimized for Flash.
