In 2022, the number of cyber attacks related to games popular with children jumped by 57%

Kaspersky Lab has released a report on cyber attacks against children using video games. The company said that over the past year it recorded more than 7 million such cyber attacks — 57% more than in 2021.

According to experts, in 2022, 232,735 users of games popular with children became victims of hackers. In total, they were affected by 39,973 malware.

Top 5 games by the number of affected users:

▪️Minecraft — 140.5 thousand people;
▪️Roblox — 38.8 thousand people;
▪️Among Us — 27.5 thousand people;
▪️Poppy Playtime — 11.1 thousand people;
▪️Brawl Stars — 9.6 thousand people.
