In January, the number of DDoS attacks against Russian gaming companies increased by 53% compared to last year

This was reported by experts from StormWall in the comment “TASS”. According to their data, mobile and PC games were most often the target of cyber attacks.

Servicepipe DosGate also noted that Russian companies have become more likely to face cyber attacks. He added that both the number of attacks and their duration increased at the beginning of the year. By how much exactly — Servicepipe DosGate did not specify. However, the service pointed out that most of the attacks were “carpet” in nature, and the hackers’ victims included providers providing access to gaming services.

Separately, Kaspersky Lab reported that over the past two years, every fifth Russian gamer has had his gaming account hacked at least once.
