Respawn wants Apex Legends to be popular for at least 20 years
The authors of Apex Legends believe in the successful future of the game, senior design director of the project Evan Nikolich told IGN. According to him, Respawn hopes that Apex Legends will be able to repeat the fate of Counter-Strike and remain interesting to users for many years to come.
Nikolic explained that one day Respawn will stop adding new content to Apex Legends. If the studio does everything right, then by that time its game will become self-sufficient and gamers will continue to return to the battle royale, despite the lack of updates.
Earlier, Electronic Arts announced the closure of Apex Legends Mobile. The mobile game will stop working on March 1, 2023 – less than a year after the release.
