The European Commission will hold a closed hearing at which it will discuss with Microsoft the purchase of Activision Blizzard

The European antitrust regulator agreed at Microsoft‘s request to hold a closed hearing on the purchase of Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion. It will take place on February 21.

According to FOSS Patents, third parties may try to participate in the hearing. For example, Sony, Google and NVIDIA. However, to do this, companies need to get permission from the European Commission.

The European Commission must make a final verdict on the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard by April 11.
