Google to allow third-party payment systems in India

India’s antitrust regulator has forced Google to make concessions for the local market. The company announced that developers will soon be able to add third-party payment systems to applications for Indian users.

It will also allow smartphone manufacturers to decide which Google products should be pre-installed on devices in India. And users from India will be able to set the default search engine services of other companies.

It is not specified when exactly the changes will take effect. Google itself called them significant and noted that their implementation will require a lot of effort.
