Atari ceases production of Atari VCS
Atari has decided to curtail the production of the Atari VCS console. In a recent financial report, she said that she refused the device because of its low demand. However, the company is ready to sell the license for the production of Atari VCS to third-party firms.
Atari first introduced the Atari VCS in 2017. Four years later, the console went on sale in the United States and a number of other countries. It is unknown how many copies the Atari VCS sold.
Note that in the report Atari reported a drop in revenue. During the last financial half of the year, the company earned €4.3 million, which is 27% less than last year. Revenue from the sale of “iron” fell especially strongly — by 92% to € 0.2 million.
