In Russia, they proposed to create a register of banned video games
The proposal was made in the commission of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation on information policy. Officials hope the registry will help limit the spread of “harmful to children” video games in the country.
The officials did not give examples of such video games. But they said that now many foreign projects “propagandize the cult of violence, cruelty, pornography, obscene language, extremist and terrorist activities, unreliable information.”
The commission also proposed to start identifying gamers through a special system like “Sber ID” or “Yandex ID”.
