Microsoft is not against signing a multi-year contract for the release of Call of Duty not only with Sony, but also with other platform holders
This was stated by Brad Smith, president of Microsoft, in a column for The Wall Street Journal. He also confirmed that the corporation offered Sony to sign a contract for a period of 10 years for the release of Call of Duty on the PlayStation.
Smith added that it is unprofitable for Microsoft to abandon Call of Duty on Sony consoles, since this version of the game provides a “vital” part of Activision Blizzard‘s revenue.
