Bandai Namco's half-year revenue exceeded the company's expectations
The first half of fiscal 2023 turned out to be more successful for Bandai Namco than the company expected. The Japanese publisher beat its forecast by ¥47.6 billion or $340 million at the current exchange rate.
In total, in April-September, Bandai Namco earned ¥477.6 billion ($3.4 billion) in sales, which is 21.3% more than last year. The division that deals with digital entertainment, including video games, was the most monetary — it brought in ¥193.8 billion ($1.38 billion).
Net sales grew the most in Europe — by 74.5% at once. Sales also increased significantly in the Americas — by 53.7%.
