The head of Ubisoft said that small conflicts between developers are necessary to create games
This statement was made by Yves Guillemot in an interview with the French edition of La Presse. He stressed that game development is a complex process and from time to time there is “strong tension” between developers.
The words of the head of Ubisoft did not appeal to everyone, and later he had to issue an additional statement. Guillemot explained that there is no place for toxicity in Ubisoft. Speaking about conflicts, he meant creative differences, which are not unusual and even “vital for innovative companies.”
Guillemot added that Ubisoft has a special policy that prevents “tension” between employees from escalating into serious conflicts.
