Sony is leaving the vice president who led the development of consoles. He worked for the company for 36 years
Masayasu Ito will retire on October 1. He will be replaced by Lin Tao, vice president of finance and strategy at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Ito got a job at Sony back in 1986 and initially worked on audio equipment for cars. In 2000, he joined the gaming division, where he later designed the PS4 and PS5 consoles, as well as the PS VR headset.
