Arcade and board games are the only genres of mobile games whose revenues in the United States grew in the first half of the year
According to Sensor Tower analysts, in January-June 2022, American gamers spent $11.4 billion in mobile games, which is 9.6% less than at the same time a year ago. As a result, the revenue of almost all genres decreased.
Revenue of racing (-28.8%), geolocation AR games (-26%) and shooters (-24.5%) fell the most.
Only arcades (+14.8%) and board games (+0.9%) were able to increase revenue.
