The studio of the former head of Rockstar North was joined by veterans of 2K, NCsoft and Evolution Studios
Leslie Benzies, former president of Rockstar North, is building up the staff of his studio Build A Rocket Boy. He hired three veterans of the gaming industry at once.
▪️Murray Pannell became Senior Vice President of Global Marketing. Prior to that, he held a senior position at 2K, and even earlier he worked at PlayStation and Ubisoft.
▪️Randall Price became the director of publishing. Previously, he was vice president of publishing at NCsoft for four years.
▪️Mick Hocking became Director of Development. He is responsible for the management of Evolution Studios, Codemasters and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Now Build A Rocket Boy is working on an ambitious game Everywhere. According to Benzis, the developers want to create a project in the spirit of “Get ready for the first player”. It will be a large-scale sandbox in which users will be able to build their own worlds.
