Tencent has restructured its “daughter” TiMi Studio Group. The company has divided one of the Call of Duty: Mobile developer divisions into several new studios with their own tasks.
This was reported by a number of Chinese media last week. As part of the restructuring, the TiMi J3 division, which employs over 800 people, will be divided into three studios:
TiMi Y1 — will continue to support CoD: Mobile and will help implement cross-platform features in projects of other teams;
TiMi Y2 — the studio is currently working on an unannounced shooter based on Unreal Engine 4;
▫️TiMi Y3 – develops CrossFire Mobile;
Tencent has also organized a completely new TiMi G1 studio, which will develop AAA games using new IP. All divisions will focus on creating products for the global market.
