Bango: 31% of surveyed game studios may close due to stricter requirements for personal data protection
In recent years, regulators around the world and large technology companies have begun to pay more attention to user privacy. The marketing company Bango decided to figure out how what is happening affects the mobile business. To do this, she interviewed more than 300 developers and marketers from the UK and the USA.
Several conclusions from the study:
▪️63% of mobile games have been affected by the trend related to data protection.
▪️62% of the surveyed application developers do not know how they will attract new users if there are even more data protection requirements;
Nevertheless, 64% of the survey participants agree that user privacy should be their top priority.;
