Sony plans that by 2025 half of its game releases will be on PC and smartphones
Sony held a presentation for investors on the development strategy. Among other things, she said that she intends to continue developing towards cross-platform, going beyond consoles and stopping “limiting herself to a rather narrow part of the market.”
Sony expects revenue from PC games to grow significantly this fiscal year. If in fiscal year 2020 it amounted to $ 35 million, and in 2021 – $ 80 million, then in 2022 it should exceed $300 million. The company did not share the forecast for mobile.
Sony also said that by 2025 it is going to release 12 games-services, two of which will be released in fiscal year 2022 (i.e., until March 2023).
