Russia has officially recognized a new esports discipline — "tactical three-dimensional combat"

This is reported by “TASS” with reference to the statement of the President of the Russian Federation of Computer Sports Dmitry Smith. According to him, recognition will allow holding official competitions on the territory of the country like the Cup of Russia for games included in the discipline program.

Currently, there are eight games in the “tactical three-dimensional combat” program: CS:GO, Valorant, Rainbow Six: Siege, Warface, Armored Warfare, Overwatch, World of Tanks and War Thunder.

Earlier, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports Amir Khamitov told reporters that the Russian authorities are working on measures to support esports athletes. Among them are preferential mortgages, benefits for higher education, a deferral from the army and the creation of “esports companies” for alternative service.
