86% of Chinese parents believe that in 2021 their children began to spend less time on video games

The figure was shared by the Chinese Gaming Industry Committee. How much less is not specified, but 43% of parents surveyed said that last year their children played “much less often” than in 2020.

Recall that in the fall, the Chinese authorities banned minors from playing online games for more than three hours a week. After that, Tencent reported that in the fourth quarter of 2021, the time spent by children under the age of 18 in its titles decreased by 88%.
