A new free analytical platform for mobile developers has appeared. Called ByteBrew
ByteBrew is a new analytical platform created by former mobile developers. It provides completely free access to a whole set of solutions. Among them is the ability to track retention and all in—app purchases, as well as tools for measuring attribution and conducting A/B testing.Last week, the creators of ByteBrew shared details about their platform on Reddit.
ByteBrew was
co-founded by Cameron and Kian Hozouri. According to them, they used to have to pay for various analytical services every month. That is why the developers decided to create a single and completely free platform that would combine all the necessary tools.Today ByteBrew offers the following services:
- ability to track and analyze retention, KPI and other metrics in real time;managing monetization tools, including tracking all in-app purchases, subscriptions, and advertising revenue;
- the ability to make changes to in-game events without having to upload updates to stores;
- customizable funnels to track users’ gaming progress;
- prediction of LTV and ROAS indicators based on game data;
- measurement of attribution and key metrics of advertising campaigns;
- filtering users — including the ability to track players who buy only certain items, or to see which advertising network a particular user came from;
- tools for A/B testing.
- To use ByteBrew, you need to download a special SDK, integrate it into a mobile game and connect it to a dashboard.
Now the platform supports all major engines: Unity, Godot, GameMaker, Unreal, BuildBox, as well as native tools for iOS and Android platforms.
Despite its free of charge, it is ByteBrew’s business model that now raises the most questions. In the comments on Reddit, users wonder how the developers are going to support the platform, and whether it will suddenly become paid in the future. The representatives of the company themselves do not give a specific answer.
In the summer in an interview PocketGamer.biz the developers noted that they just tried to automate all the processes and make sure that ByteBrew could be maintained and maintained without outside help.
At the same time, the platform successfully attracts customers. Back in June, over 1,000 mobile studios and developers registered on ByteBrew to participate in the open beta. Although the authors themselves planned to reach this mark only in 2022. Now the platform is already used by more than 1,500 developers.
At the moment, the ByteBrew SDK is available on the website and in the Unity Asset Store.
