The DAU of Storm8 projects reached 10 million
The daily audience of games from mobile market pioneers at Storm8 reached 10 million people. The company's network covers about 200 million devices in total.
Storm8 is a wealthy company with a rich history. According to App Annie, the company is among the top ten largest game publishers by revenue. Moreover, it is self-funded. No significant investments have been made in its development, and it has not gone public through an IPO.
The secret of success lies in following current trends (and cloning) and quickly developing projects accordingly. In 2010, the minimalist games iMobsters and World War were released, and a year later, the company began releasing social and casual games under the TeamLava brand. As soon as Google Play began showing good growth, Storm8 entered that market, followed by the Amazon Appstore. Last year, the company released several gambling projects as well as Dragon Story and Bubble Mania. The former, incidentally, is a clone of the game DragonVale by Backflip Studios, which was among the top ten grossing American App Store games all last year.
Currently, the Storm8 network encompasses 40 projects, allowing the company to transfer loyal users from one game to another.
