Veterans of Silent Hill, Gravity Rush and Siren founded Bokeh Game Studio
The creator of Silent Hill, Keiichiro Toyama, together with other veterans of the Japanese industry, opened a new studio — Bokeh Game Studio. The developers have already started working on their own project in the spirit of the famous horror.
This became known from the official YouTube channel of the studio. In total , the Bokeh Game Studio team included three people:
- Keiichiro Toyama himself is the main creator of the Silent Hill, Siren and Gravity Rush series, as well as the creative director of the new company;
- Junya Okura — game designer of Gravity Rush and Siren;
- Kazunobu Sato is the producer of The Last Guardian and Siren.
According to Toyama, the developers want to recreate the atmosphere of “freedom” when they could create games “on a whim”, “just improvising”. They also recognize the difficulties of the indie industry, but do not want to miss the opportunity to focus on creating games.
Sato also added that the studio’s team may expand in the future. According to him, the developers intend to invite many people to Bokeh Game Studio with whom they used to work.
Industry veterans told a little about their debut game. It is only known that it will be a title in the spirit of Silent Hill, which “will meet the expectations of fans.”
