The developers of Streets of Rage 4 have reported 1.5 million downloads since the release
Streets of Rage 4, which revived the popular beat ’em up of the 90s, received the first big update. At the same time, the publisher and developer Dotemu reported 1.5 million downloads since the release date.Such figures look impressive for a new game in the series, the last part of which was released 26 years ago.
However, it should be borne in mind that these 1.5 million most likely include downloads from subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass service.
The French company Dotemu, which acted as the publisher and developed Streets of Rage 4 together with Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games, also presented the first large-scale update. It included 80 edits of the balance sheet and the technical part.
“We thank the fans who have supported the game since day one — many updates in this patch increase replayability for players who have been with us from the very beginning,” said Cyrille Imbert, CEO of Dotemu.
Streets of Rage 4 was released on April 30 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The average score of critics on all platforms was 82-86 points.
