Brawl Stars earned $20 million in China in 12 days
Brawl Stars has become a sensation in the largest gaming market. The game was released in China on June 9 and has now earned over $20 million.
This is indicated by the data of the analytical service AppMagic. Brawl Stars revenue comes only from iOS. Over the past two weeks, its peak daily income in China has reached $2.5 million.
According to Sensor Tower, in the release week, the game earned 60.7% of its global revenue in China. And 71% of the installations at the same time were provided by Chinese gamers.
For comparison: at a global launch outside China, Brawl Stars’ revenue in the first week reached $11 million, installations — 4.1 million. During the same period in China, the title earned $ 17.5 million, and it was downloaded 4.8 million times.
Brawl Stars also turned out to be twice as profitable as Clash Royale in the Chinese market. The latter earned $9.4 million on release in the Chinese App Store. At the same time, outside of China, the game is inferior in revenue to other Supercell games, including Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.
In total, since December 2018, when the global release took place, Brawl Stars has brought Supercell more than $675 million. Its total installations exceeded 204 million. Let’s add that the game was downloaded most often in Russia (it accounts for 11% of total installations).
