The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Rises Again in British Retail
There are two big surprises in the UK chart. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot bypassed the last Call of Duty, and the third “Witcher” it goes back to the top lines — 5 years after the release.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
The leader of the chart last week was an RPG based on the popular Japanese IP — Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot from Bandai Namco.
It took the first place immediately after the release on January 17 and remains there, even though its sales fell by 63%. Curiously, even the blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare could not get around it. He got the second line.
Also, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may soon appear in the top 10 of British retail. Earlier, we reported on a new round of popularity of the Witcher franchise: after the release of the eponymous series on Netflix, the number of games in the series has grown dramatically online. And, it turned out, the most popular of them is moving towards the British top ten in big steps. Two weeks ago it was at the 38th place of the chart, a week ago it rose to the 20th, and now it is already at the 12th.
So far, as Gamesindustry notes.biz, there are no special changes in the top 10: GTA V, Minecraft and other hits are firmly held in it. January as a whole was not rich in releases, and last week only Rugby 20 was released. But she took the 13th place in the chart.
