Playrix released the first game in 2 years — Wildscapes
This week, Playrix announced the worldwide launch of its new match-3. The novelty is called Wildscapes. It is dedicated to the construction of a zoo. This is the company’s first game in the last two years.
The core gameplay of the game is similar to that of Homescapes, the studio’s previous game. However, the meta has changed a lot. Now, for completing the levels, the player receives gold, which he spends on the arrangement of the territory at his discretion.
Playrix believes that thanks to the innovation, Wildscapes stands out noticeably among other Scapes-series projects. They also note that they decided to abandon a large-scale story during the development of the game: it’s about something else.
The official release of the novelty took place yesterday, August 14. However, on Android, the game began to be published by region from the beginning of the week. There is no information about the first results yet. But earlier, Playrix shared the indicators of the project‘s softlonch. The retention of the first day of Wildscapes is 38%.
Playrix is a Vologda—based company whose staff now numbers 1100 people. Its offices are located in four countries. The head office is in Ireland, but the development itself is being carried out in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
By the end of July 2019, Playrix was among the top 10 most earning mobile companies in the world. With iOS and Android, she earns more than Netflix, Tinder and Electronic Arts. According to an independent assessment by DataMagic, the company’s monthly revenue can reach up to $90 million.
