Microsoft does not give up on the appearance of its games on other consoles

Microsoft is ready to meet its internal studios that want to release games for different platforms. As stated by the head of the Xbox division Matt Booty, the decision will be made separately for each studio.

According to Buti, the company’s games will not necessarily be exclusives for its platforms. As an example, he cited the studio Double Fine, bought by Microsoft in early summer.

The whole question is which platform to give preference to or how it will help the brand, writes Gamesindustry.biz .

“There are online games that will only benefit from appearing on different devices. On the other hand, it is better to leave some projects on Microsoft’s own sites and support them with xCloud, Game Pass and Xbox Live,” said Bootie at the Game Informer Show.

The publisher’s big hit — Minecraft — is available on a variety of devices. But future Halo and Forza games, as well as possible continuations of The Outer Worlds from Obsidian, have every chance of becoming Xbox exclusives, Buti believes.
