CEO of Take-Two disagreed with the head of Ubisoft about the impact of streaming services on audience growth
The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, again spoke on the topic of cloud gaming services. As it turned out, he does not share the opinion of the head of Ubisoft about the indispensable growth of the gaming audience thanks to streaming.

A lower subscription price (compared to retail prices for games) facilitates access to games for ordinary people.
This opinion was expressed by the head of Ubisoft Yves Guillemot, as PC Games Insider writes. Gilmo is confident that the spread of services like Google Stadia will lead to an audience growth of up to 5 billion players.
In an interview for GamesBeat, Zelnik was asked to comment on this point of view. Zelnik admitted that the number of players will definitely grow with the development of streaming services. But not up to 5 billion people.
“I’m not sure that widespread (streaming) will necessarily affect the attitude to the price bar. Frituplay games, in my opinion, would benefit more from their wide distribution. More money means better support. I wouldn’t count on an audience of 5 billion people. After all, there are only 7 billion of us on Earth, including the youngest and the oldest,” he said.
At the same time, Zelnik spoke enthusiastically about the Stadia service, which Google introduced this spring. The CEO of Take-Two noted that he was looking forward to seeing how the platform would behave in different regions and on different devices.
Recall that currently streaming platforms, in addition to Google, are also being prepared by Microsoft, Amazon and others.
