Two Chinese FunPlus games have earned $1.3 billion over the past three years
Mobile strategies continue to earn huge sums. The revenue of King of Avalon and Guns of Glory — both developed and published by FunPlus — amounted to more than a billion dollars.
This was stated to VentureBeat by Oren Bennett, the company’s head of operations in the United States. He clarified that the earnings of the King of Avalon launched in 2016 have now amounted to $ 721 million, and the earnings of Guns of Glory, which appeared in 2017, reached $ 510 million.
The main market for these titles is the USA, where the company’s games also have the highest ARPU. FunPlus was initially focused specifically on the Western market. Her old titles — Family Farm, Farm Farm Seaside, Royal Story and Fantasy Slots — also earned more outside of China.
The creation of strategies within FunPlus is handled by an internal studio KingsGroup. Now she is preparing to launch new projects, and her main task for the current year is to earn $ 1.5 billion.
