A month ago, Epic Games hired one of the founders of Respawn Entertainment — Jason West. At least, that’s what The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley says on Twitter.
Some game industry scoop: @EpicGames has quietly hired Jason West, @InfinityWard and @Respawn co-founder, to work on its game development efforts. From what I hear West, who lives in North Carolina, has been in the office for about a month. pic.twitter.com/nhR0zPq0mB

Epic Games secretly hired Jason West, co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn, to create the games. From what I’ve heard, West, who lives in North Carolina, has been going to the (Epic Games) office for the last month,” he writes.
According to Kayleigh, West’s appointment came shortly after Respawn launched the new battle royale Apex Legends – a direct competitor to Fortnite from Epic Games. However, West did not participate in the development of Apex Legends, as he left the studio he founded back in 2013.

At Epic Games, West allegedly oversees the development of new games.
This may mean that the company is creating its own exclusive titles for the Epic Games Store.
Let’s add that West, together with Vince Zampella, created not only Respawn, but also Infinity Ward, a Call of Duty developer studio.
