Epic Games will add reviews to its store. And will allow developers to disable them if necessary
Epic Games is working hard on a system of user reviews for its store. This was announced on Twitter by the head of the company Tim Sweeney (Tim Sweenee).
We are developing a feedback system for the Epic Games Store, taking as a basis the system from the Unreal Engine platform. The developers will decide for themselves whether these reviews will be displayed.

That’s right: developers will be able to disable user reviews of games if desired. Epic Games believes that this is better than allowing players to massively underestimate the rating of the game in the store. And that’s exactly what they do on Steam to express their disappointment with the product or its authors. For example, there was a flurry of negative reviews on the Metro Exodus page when the developers announced the transfer of the game to the Epic Games Store.
From the day of the announcement of the site, users and experts on the web have expressed fears that reviews will not appear on it. But Sergey Galenkin (one of the creators of the store and also the author of SteamSpy) confirmed in January that there would be a review system.
We will have both: a ticketing systems with some kind of knowledge base based on answered tickets and user reviews. Again, devs aren’t obliged to use either of these systems, we just want to give them the tools to be able to serve their customers better.

I repeat: developers are not required to use these systems, we will simply provide them with tools so that they can better support players,” he wrote.
He also mentioned in a December podcast that the Epic Games Store team is discussing what the feedback system will be. In particular, it was proposed to prohibit writing reviews to players who did not launch the game for two weeks.
