Fortnite has become more popular than League of Legends on Twitch
The number of viewers watching Fortnite multiplayer action streams at the same time has been higher for several days in a row than MOBA League of Legend. Epic Games hit became the second game in the history of Twitch that managed to surpass Riot Games in the number of viewers on the platform.
Until now, League of Legend has been outpaced only by Fortnite’s main competitor, PLAYERUNKNIWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. The popular “battle royale” briefly broke into the leaders of Twitch in August 2017.

The growth of the Fortnite audience can be explained by the joint action of Epic Games and Twitch.
The creators of Fortnite have offered Twitch Prime paid subscription holders access to sets of game items, which will be valid until April 30.
On March 10, Epic Games announced the release of the Fortnite Battle Royale free mode on iOS and Android. The developers also promised owners of Fortnite versions for different platforms (including mobile) the opportunity to play together.
Although there were exceptions — in the general online Fortnite Battle Royale, owners of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will not be able to meet.
