Lineage 2: Revolution earned almost $1 billion in 11 months

The mobile role-playing MMO Lineage 2: Revolution by the South Korean publisher Netmarble generated $924 million in the first 11 months after launch. The game earned most of this amount on the local market.

Lineage 2: Revolution revenues in South Korea for the starting month amounted to $176 million.

Along with the support and development of Lineage 2: Revolution, the publisher intends to release a number of new titles on the Western market this year.

Among them is a mobile role-playing game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery by the California studio Jam City and a battler based on the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, which is being worked on jointly with the creators of the franchise — Wizards of the Coast. The game is known under the working title Project M.

Netmarble is also preparing to fully launch its first global real-time strategy, Firstborn: Kingdom, which was released in softlonch in Australia and New Zealand in October last year.

Netmarble successfully completed its first year as a public company, earning more than $2.2 billion in 2017.
