The mini version of Super SNES will be released on September 29
Nintendo has announced a mini-console Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition. It will be released on September 29 this year.
The modern version of Super SNES is equipped with a library of 21 classic games, including The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Mario World, and others.
In addition, Star Fox 2 will be released for the first time on the Super SNES Classic Edition. The game was completely finished in 1995, but Nintendo canceled the release in order to promote the Star Fox version for the Nintendo 64 platform.
For more than 20 years, fans have been emulating images leaked to the network, and this September it will be possible to play Star Fox 2 officially for the first time.
Included with the Super SNES Classic Edition will be 2 controllers.
The stated price of the console is $80.
Recall that in November last year, Nintendo released a mini-version of the Nintendo Entertainment System console.
The console cost $60 and was sold in the US so successfully that in April 2017 it outstripped the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in terms of the number of units sold and became a scarce commodity, since Nintendo had withdrawn it from production by that time.
