Tencent has invested $72 million in mobile developer Ourpalm
The Chinese corporation Tencent has invested $ 71.7 million dollars in the Beijing developer of mobile and browser games Ourpalm.
The deal secured Tencent ownership of 2% of the company’s shares.
Ourpalm is considered a successful player in the Chinese gaming market. The studio employs 2 thousand employees, and the game portfolio has more than 200 titles.
Over the previous two months, Tencent acquired a minority stake in the Chinese developer Seasun Games for $142.6 million, invested $90 million in the California studio Pocket Gems and announced its readiness to buy the Finnish company Rovio for $ 3 billion.
