Bethesda will postpone The Elder Scrolls VI for other IP

Bethesda will postpone work on the 6th part of the role-playing series The Elders Scrolls indefinitely and will focus on other projects.

This was told by Bethesda marketing director Pete Hines in an interview with GameSpot.

According to Hines, Bethesda Game Studios employees are tired of title titles and
want to decide on their own what to work on next, whether it’s existing projects or new franchises.

“Frankly speaking, our developers would not like to do only Elder Scrolls and Fallout until the end of their career. A lot of fans are looking forward to Elder Scrolls VI, but we are creative people, and we want to do what inspires us,” said Pete Hines.

Hines promised that the 6th part of Elder Scrolls will definitely be done, but not before Bethesda releases a couple of other game projects. He did not specify which games he was talking about.

A week ago at the E3 exhibition, Bethesda announced the continuation of the horror The Evil Within II and the shooter Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, as well as the publication of VR versions of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
