Konami was accused of violating the rights of employees
The Japanese company Konami is trying to prevent the employment of its former employees, the Nikkei newspaper reports.
An ex-employee of Kojima Productions studio (formerly part of Konami) told Nikkei that his application for a job with an insurance company working with the video game industry was blocked by the chairman of the board, who also worked as a director at Konami.
In addition, Kojima Productions itself was denied medical insurance.
Also, one recruitment agency reported that Konami is filing complaints with companies that hire its former employees.
Because of this, a number of organizations are trying not to hire those who previously worked at Konami, and retired employees are trying to hide the fact of employment in this company.
It is known that Konami accused Hideo Kojima of discrediting his image after his Tokyo Game Show 2016 performance.
There Kojima said that the Metal Gear Survive game developed by Konami does not correspond to the idea of the franchise he created.
Nikkei cites data that Konami monitors the social networks of its employees and arranges penalties for those who leave likes under the publications of their former colleagues.
