Bungie: Random matchmaking is not good for Destiny 2
Bungie plans to abandon the random selection of matches in the Destiny 2 MMO shooter and give players the opportunity to choose a company for themselves to pass game tests.
According to Mark Noseworthy, executive producer of the Destiny project, random matchmaking is incompatible with the gaming community that Bungie wants to create in Destiny 2.
“Matchmaking just brings strangers together. To solve complex gaming problems, gamers need to coordinate their actions, communicate and act honestly with each other. But it doesn’t work when you have to play with random users,” Nosworthy explained.
In Destiny 2, the developers intend to let gamers choose the company that best suits their own style of play and level of experience using Guided game mode.
Guided game will allow solo players to join established teams during group trials, such as raids.
So they will be able to join a team of like-minded people and in the future join one of the gaming clans.
