Capcom believes: Resident Evil 7 will sell 10 million copies
Japanese horror Resident Evil 7 sold 3.5 million copies in the first quarter of 2017. His publisher – Capcom – is sure: this is not the limit. The company expects that the total sales of the game for all time will amount to 10 million.
The company shared similar forecasts in the framework of the financial report for January-March. Title sales continue to grow,” says Capcom.
Her optimism is supported by good sales of re-releases of previous games in the series. For the last fiscal year, which ended for the company in March 2017, the total sales of Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 in versions for modern platforms sold 2.8 million copies.
On the other hand, no franchise game has ever reached the mark of 10 million copies sold. The record holder is Resident Evil 5, which sold 7.2 million copies.
