Improbable raised $502 million investment
The developer of the SpatialOS cloud operating environment, the British company Improbable, received $502 million from SoftBank investor.
Improbable reported that the funding will be used for the further development of virtual space simulation technology in SpatialOS.
In addition, the company will recruit staff to the London and California offices and invest in “creating a dynamic ecosystem of developers and customers.”
The investor company received a share of Improbable shares, and SoftBank Managing Director Deep Nishar joined Improbable’s board of directors.
The total investments in Improbable following the results of two investment rounds amounted to $524 million.
The SpatialOS cloud system allows you to simulate vast worlds with millions of individually created objects in real time.
