Mobile gaming revenues increased by 53%
According to the results of the first quarter of 2017, global revenues from mobile games increased by 53% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Sales of gaming apps in the App Store and Google Market brought publishers $11.9 billion in the first three months of this year. In the first quarter of 2016, these revenues amounted to $7.8 billion.
Games remain the main sources of profit in the international ecosystem of mobile applications: they form almost 80% of revenues in the App Store and more than 90% of cash receipts in Google Play.
According to the results of the 2017 quarter, the turnover in the Apple app store reached $6.6 billion (+35% compared to the first quarter of 2016). Google Play generated $5.9 billion over the same period, which is 83% more than in the first quarter of 2016.
