Release of the Day: Tempest
A pirate game has been released on the App Store and Google Play Tempest. We are looking at the project.
What?
Pirate simulator. A port to the mobile platforms of last year’s HeroCraft release.
How?
We sail on a large map from city to city, complete quests, participate in sea battles, improve the ship and recruit a team.
In general, everything is in the spirit of the good old “Pirates” of Sid Meyer.
Why pay attention?
The game has the main thing for such games – a pirate atmosphere. Plus, you don’t often see a port of a relatively young desktop game on mobile.
And, of course, it is impressive that there was no significant reduction in the level of graphics compared to the PC version.
What should I be ready for?
If I were the publishers, I would keep the project in a soft launch for a few more months. By mobile standards, the game has a poor, unpolished tutorial. You have to get used to the inteface of the game, but it’s better to polish it. Plus, there are bugs. Nothing critical, but, for example, waves in cities appear right in the middle of the beach in chunks of texture, and the world map sometimes goes off the screen, not allowing you to choose a destination.
