The game of the Lithuanian studio Nordcurrent has been downloaded more than 100 million times

The Cooking Fever mobile game from Lithuanian developer Nordcurrent has gained 100 million downloads since its release in 2014. Thanks to the success of the project, a small family business has grown into a company with a staff of more than 100 people.

According to Nordcurrent CEO Victoria Trofimova, they were inspired to create Cooking Fever by the casual game Happy Chief for PC, which they created at the dawn of their career.

Nordcurrent is the largest of Lithuania’s gaming studios, founded in 2002 by spouses Victoria and Mikhail Trofimov, as well as Mikhail’s brother Sergey. Until 2007, the company developed games for consoles, then entered the market of mobile games and free-to-play projects. In addition to Cooking Fever, the company has about 50 titles.

Last year, Nordcurrent ranked second in financial success among representatives of the gaming industry from Russia, the Baltic States and the CIS, second only to the domestic Playrix.
