The 2016 IMGA Grand Prix went to Pokemon GO

The winners of the 13th International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) were named in San Francisco.

The jury selected 16 winners from 156 nominations. In total, over 3,000 applications were submitted for the competition last year.

Intrigues in the spirit of the last Oscar ceremony did not work out: the Grand Prix of the international award was expected to take Pokémon GO. Unfortunately, the game is still officially unavailable in Of Russia.

In addition to pocket monsters, the jury also noted:

Human Resource Machine — excellence in innovation

Clash Royale — the best multiplayer

Conduct THIS! — best fast gameplay

Battle of Polytopia — the best gameplay

1979 Revolution: A Cinematic Adventure Game — the most Meaningful Game

Reigns — the best presentation of history

Dawn of Titans — the best technical achievements

Invisible Inc. — excellence in visual performance

Crypt of the NecroDancer — Best sound and music

Steppy Pants — “Forbidden Pleasure”

Wands — the best VR game

Steamburg — the most anticipated game

The leader of the popular vote was the simulator of the Sky Garden farm: Farm in Paradise.

A special jury prize was awarded to the puzzle Mekorama.

The best game artist, according to the judges, was the art director of the British studio Natural Motion Ben Brudenell (Ben Brudenell).

The International Mobile Gaming Awards has been awarded since 2004.
